Welcome to The Grounding Space

My name is Heather Bejar - the wild dreamer that has cultivated/curated this eclectic space.  You might know me as one or all of the following: photographer, jewelry artist, folk herbalist, sound and energy practitioner, cannabis grower, food access advocate, and unconventional farmer that has a deep appreciation for CA native plants.  My community offerings are grounded in a vision of radical liberation for everyone through deep self-discovery, seed/food sovereignty and herbal remedy access. I support clients and communities to deepen their relationships with both the natural and metaphysical realms.  My intuitive relationship with plants has been cultivated and expanded over the span of decades, and intersects with my innate passion for artistic expression.  My drive to support my clients in both their energetic and physical journeys is drawn on extensive personal experience, as well as academic studies in studio art and environmental analysis.

Additionally, I have participated in a series of trainings in non-academic spaces with the belief that knowledge exists beyond academic arenas.  Essentially, I am a collector of certificates with an insatiable desire to learn. I’m deeply attached to the ideation of “becoming”. I suppose this is why I am consistently creating and learning. My approach to plant alchemy is rooted in ancestral wisdom that is primarily taught in ceremonial spaces. Both my jewelry and herbal product line is small run, and made with much love and intention.   My biggest motivation in life is my children.  They inspire me to dream big and think beyond the confines of a broken system.

When I’m not creating you will find me propagating food (obsessively implementing lunar planting guidance) for a local community garden, Growing Roots in Pomona, California.
